February – April Breakfast & After School Clubs update

Posted on February 11, 2021 at 8:03 am

Hello

After February half term our breakfast & after-school clubs will reopen for keyworkers & vulnerable as they have been this term, if you have been using the clubs this term you will be aware that some club’s opening days and times have been temporarily changed while we see a much lower number of children. These temporary adjustments will continue until all children have returned back to school.

To date, we are yet to hear whether the 8th March will be the date we can welcome everyone back to our clubs although we do know that we can expect a “clear two weeks’ notice period”.

At the moment we are asking that only keyworkers book sessions until the government has set out its guidelines of how schools will reopen and if all year groups will be going back.

Next Terms priority bookings will be paused and will recommence after the Easter Holidays. If you are normally on priority bookings you will need to log onto the FISH Portal and book your sessions for next term (22nd February – Thursday 1 April 2021) yourself. Booking forms will be live from 8pm on the 8th of February ready for Keyworker families to begin booking on.

Although Boris Johnson has told MPs that the government hopes to start reopening English schools on 8th March, he has also said he would not guarantee that this would be before the Easter holidays. With this in mind please can we ask that if you are not a keyworker you do not book any sessions until the government and your school has announced how and when your children will be returning to school.
