Snow Update 14:18 (Withycombe Exmouth) 18/2/18

Posted on February 28, 2018 at 2:18 pm

It’s difficult to predict exactly what will happen with the weather tomorrow, but we have some provisional arrangements assuming that the current forecast is correct.

Please read:
We plan to open the school as usual in the morning, but we will close the school at 1.30pm tomorrow (Thursday 1st March). This is due to the predicted heavier snow later in the day and will enable pupils and staff to get home safely.

Children can still wear their World Book Day outfits (if they are flimsy such as Princess dresses please add additional layers to keep warm!).
Children will stay for lunch as usual and the afternoon register will be taken.
We then ask for children to be collected at 1.30pm.

We ask you to keep an eye out for further updates – a brief line on the Home page of our website will tell you the latest status, and we’ll post updates on our Facebook page.
There is a link to the Devon County Council school closures list on our website too.

** If the weather comes in sooner than predicted and we have to close for the whole day, we will notify parents by text by 7.30am tomorrow **

We’ll make a decision about Friday once we know what tomorrow brings!
